Now on-line, BrightDrive for DI Workflow
We have just installed a BrightDrive media recording system to provide the infrastructure for our data-centric DI workflow.
We have just installed a BrightDrive media recording system to provide the infrastructure for our data-centric DI workflow. The system provides a highly advanced, collaborative environment that enables all operators to share data concurrently without the need for copying files between systems.
We scan directly into BrightDrive from a range of sources so that data is available immediately to all operators on the network. This data-centric approach to workflow gives high levels of flexibility as operators are able to begin work immediately without having to wait for each other. BrightDrive is connected to all of our DI processes, including multiple Avid editing systems, 3 Final Cut Pros, Smoke 2K, Flame 2K, After Effects, 3D software and to the company’s color grading suite.
BrightDrive was a no-brainer for us. We looked at all the options, but BrightDrive simply gave us the best, fastest and most reliable system within our budget. With 50 Terabytes of storage and up to 8 concurrent streams of 2K to each suite in the facility, we now have what we believe to be the fastest system in the Gulf Region. That’s a big selling point for us.
BrightDrive is a highly powerful media recording system that enables real-time digital media to be accessed and shared by multiple teams of film and video professionals operating within a data-centric environment. Real-time media capture and playback is provided across multiple platforms. Using BrightDrive, we have the option to work with single and mixed resolutions including SD and HD on the same hardware without reformatting.
